No matter where I have served, first as a parish priest, then as a director of a large Campus Ministry, now as a bishop, I have always known that the Knights of Columbus were there to help me and all of the parishes where I have served.

Today I want to encourage you to join the Knights of Columbus. They are an outstanding organization throughout the world and a great gift to the church. They have a special commitment to fostering a spirit of unity, fraternity, and patriotism within every parish and in their organization as a whole.
